Dr. Watkins is the owner of Allenstown Animal Hospital. She has been associated with the hospital since it was constructed in 1984 and became it's owner in 1994. She has a strong interest in Veterinary Surgery. When not busy with her patients, Dr. Watkins enjoys pursuing her interest in arts and crafts (she was an oil painting and printmaking major before she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine). An example of her artwork is the mural that she painted in our waiting room. An Avid hiker, Dr. Watkins has recently completed climbing all 48 of the 4,000 foot mountains in New Hampshire and is now climbing the rest of the 4000'ers in New England. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Rich and their dogs, Baci (Italian Greyhound) and Luna (Australian Shepherd).

Dr. O'Connell joined the practice in July, 2012. Originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts, she practiced at a small animal hospital/emergency clinic in the White Mountains of NH for 4 years. Since then, she has moved to be closer to family in Southern NH and refers to AAH as her second home. She has a particular career interest in dentistry and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys vinyasa yoga, knitting, and taking road trips. She and her husband John, live on the Seacoast with their 2 cats, Chesh and Dinah.
