Spay/Neuter Assistance

We participate in the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture Animal Population Control Program (NHDA-APCP).  The program provides financial assistance to qualified individuals for canine and feline spays and neuters.   In addition to the surgery, pets will receive an exam and a rabies vaccine.  The $25 co-pay is due at the pet's surgery drop-off appointment.   We will only accept cash or credit card.

Applications can be downloaded at this link: http://www.agriculture.nh.gov/publications-forms/documents/apcp-application.pdf

Dogs

Pets that are under 12 months of age are given the option of doing pre-anesthetic blood work the morning of the surgery for an additional fee.  We can also microchip the pet for an additional fee.

Pets between 1 and 7 years of age are required to have pre-anesthetic blood work and a heartworm test for an additional fee.  The heartworm test can be waived only if veterinary records are provided showing that the pet has consistently been on heartworm prevention.

Pets that are 8 years of age or older will be required to come in for senior pre-anesthetic blood work and an exam (included) a few days prior to the scheduled surgery.   In these cases, the co-pay will be due the day of the senior blood work and exam.  Senior pets also need a heartworm test prior to the surgery.  The heartworm test can be waived only if veterinary records are provided showing that the pet has consistently been on heartworm prevention.
